Illustrated. 656pp. A lovely copy of this first trade deluxe edition of Margaret Thatcher's autobiography. Signed. Illustrated with numerous b/w photographic plates. This edition with cream quarter cloth over blue cloth boards. No wrapper - as issued. Upper edge dyed blue as it should be. Original publisher's blue ribbon page divider. Complete with slipcase covered in original publisher's blue cloth. This copy has a charming engraved plate of the Houses of Parliament pasted to the half-title page - this plate flat signed by Margaret Thatcher in blue ink. Blue endpapers (what other colour could they be?!) Some marks to the blue title block to the spine (seems to be a common problem with this edition) - the gilt title still remains very legible. A very faint very tiny stain mark towards the tail of the spine - bearly noticable and perhaps the slightest of bumps to one corner at the tail of the spine. Also one light soil mark to the front board - around 6mm in length. A very good, tight copy in slipcase with charming signed bookplate.
