Sobre este item

London: Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, 1857. Cloth. Good. 5.5" by 4.5". Anne Pratt. A beautifully illustrated work on British birds, with hand coloured plates. Illustrated with coloured frontispiece and seventy-two hand coloured plates. Collated complete. A charming work describing the many birds of the British Isles, with details of their characteristics and songs. Includes chapters on: the thrush, the blackbird, the wren, the sedge warbler, the yellow wagtail, the redbreast, larks, sparrows, and much more. Written and illustrated by Anne Pratt, an English botanical and ornithological illustrator and author. In the original green cloth binding with amateur rebacking to the spine and board edges. Externally, smart with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Light scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Ink mark to the title page. The odd small closed tear to the page edges. Good
