[1-2 (title leaf)] (ix-xvi) 1- 327 [1 (blank)] + [1-8] pages advertisements + frontispiece + plates. Red-brown cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 199 x 135mm. This is a revised edition of "The Development of Navies during the last Half-Century". 38 illustrations in total. The illustrations include full page plates and small in-text illustrations, wood-engravings and relief half-tone photographic illustrations of ships. Some of the plate leaves are counted within the pagination sequence, while others are additional to the pagination. .
