(28532). Octavo, cloth backed boards. Inscribed and dated by Clarke to collector Stephen Takacs in the year of publication on the front free end paper. The authors own selection of stories from the period 1947-1957. Included are "The Nine Billion Names of God" and "The Star". The final story in this collection, "The Songs of A Distant Earth" was later developed into the novel of the same name. Anatomy of Wonder (2004) II-252.
