Green cloth boards in dust jacket, octavo, frontispiece in b&w and one fold out chart, otherwise not illustrated. Book has mild sun fading around perimeter of boards and spine, binding tight, previous owner's signature to front flyleaf, otherwise text clean and unmarked but gently toned throughout. DJ has sun toning to spine and edges of panels, rubbing and mild soil, front flap price clipped, now in archival mylar wrap.

Sinopse

Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species, published 24 November 1859, is a seminal work of scientific literature considered to be the foundation of evolutionary biology. Its full title was On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life. For the sixth edition of 1872, the short title was changed to The Origin of Species.
