Illustrated throughout with black and white photograph, plans, elevations, diagrams, sketches and reproductions. OPPOSITIONS was a classic late 20th century quarterly journal of contemporary architecture produced by the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in the years 1973 to 1984. Many of its articles were profoundly influential on architectural theory and many of its contributors became distinguished members within the architectural field. Over it's history some a list of its distinguished contributors included: Diana Agrest, Stanford Anderson, Giorgio Ciucci, Stuart Cohen, Alan Colquhoun, Francesco Dal Co, Peter Eisenman, William Ellis, Kurt W. Forster, Kenneth Frampton, Mario Gandelsonas, Giorgio Grassi, Fred Koetter, Rem Koolhaas, Leon Krier, Mary McLeod, Rafael Moneo, Joan Ockman, Martin Pawley, Aldo Rossi, Colin Rowe, Denise Scott Brown, Jorge Silvetti, Ignasi de Solà-Morales, Manfredo Tafuri, Bernard Tschumi, Anthony Vidler, and Hajime Yatsuka, among others. This copy is very fresh, square, crisp, glossy, clean, crisp, sharp, bright, unmarked and unread with a flat uncreased spine. Some faint dark streaks on front panel, else fine. NEAR FINE..
