Elgin, Ill: Brethren Publishing House, 1909. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. First printing, "1909" on the copyright page and,somewhat oddly, "1910" on the copyright page. Octavo sized hardcover in emerald green cloth lettered in 159 pp. A bright example but with some light spotting to the cloth of the front cover. The story of the Biblical runaway slave Onesimus based on Paul's Epistle to Philemon. Brumbaugh was the most prolific writer/historians of teh Church of the Brethren around the tuen of the 20th century.
