Ink stamp of " Georg Garbe Chronometermacher" on first few pages. He was a noted author on watchmaking. Portrait of the author; eight color plates and 164 b/w illustrations. A few foxed spots and dust darkening on closed fore-edges. Front hinge appears to have been professionally strengthened at some point. No page markings or creases.
