Original publisher's blind-stamped black cloth, lettered in gilt. Lightly rubbed, gilt-stamp of the Birmingham Medical Institute to foot of chipped spine. Ink-stamps of the aforementioned institution to frontispiece and title page, scattered foxing, occasional underlining in ink. The first edition of pioneering American physician Horace Green's (1802-1866) treatise on the diagnosis and treatment of croup. . First edition. 8vo.

We have a countryside bookshop in Wareham; we also regularly issue catalogues - do ask if you would like to be added to our mailing list - and frequently exhibit at regional and national book fairs in London, Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Oxford, and York.
We also offer a valuation service (for either insurance or probate purposes), as well as advice on library development.
