Illustrated throughout with thirteen plates and many in-text illustrations. Reviewing the way of the wolf, trails that cross in the snow, Matwock of the icebergs, where the salmon jump, and much more. Written by William J. Long, an American writer, naturalist and minister. In the 1920s, he began spending his summers in Nova Scotia, claiming "the wilderness is getting too crowded". Illustrated by Charles Copeland, an American book illustrator from 1887 to 1940, a member of the Boston Watercolour Society and Boston Art Club. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Light rubbing to the joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light spotting to the first and last few pages. Very Good
