Frontispiece photograph of the plane 'Sirius'. Map vignettes in text. The maps were drawn by Charles A. Lindbergh. A fine copy. The dustwrapper has been strengthened at the spine tips, is a little rough along the edges but gives a near fine appearance. It is price-clipped.

A classic of air travel, this is a memoir of the 1931 journey from North Haven to Nanking by Anne and Charles LIndbergh to survey potential commercial air routes and gather information on the Arctic. It is also a combination travelogue and meditation on the psychology of flight.

Sinopse

Born in Englewood, N.J. in 1906, Anne Morrow married Charles Lindbergh in 1929, two years after his transatlantic flight. She is the author of many books, including Gift from the Sea and Listen! The Wind, and five volumes of diaries and letters, among them Bring Me a Unicorn and Hour of Gold, Hour of Lead. Mrs. Lindbergh is the recipient of countless honors and awards, including the Hubbard Medal of the National Geographic Society.
