This book is an autobiography of Jane Edna Hunter the black Cleveland civil rights leader who was a moving force in the NAACP, an officer in the NAACW, and the founder of the Phyllis Wheatley Association. The book offered here is SIGNED by Hunter and inscribed by her to Dr. and Mrs. James Otto Hill, black civil rights leaders in Newark, New Jersey. who, like Hunter, were originally from South Carolina. The book is in very good+ condition: clean and tight, with minor dusting on the top edge of the textblock. The dust jacket is very good: bright and still crisp, with a hint of soiling and minor fading along the spine; some very shallow chipping at corners and head of spine.. SIGNED. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.
