E. Gardner. Original dust jacket fine, not price-clipped, no fading, clean and bright, now protected in a loose-fitting clear archival sleeve. Green Buckram binding clean and bright, unfaded. Contents clean and tight, no toninfg to endpapers, previous owner's neat stamp signature only , F. M. Carpenter, no inscriptions or other marks An exeptionally bright copy . [Referenced by "Collecting the New Naturalists" - NN41A] [Provenance - Frank Morton Carpenter (September 6, 1902 - January 18, 1994) was an American entomologist and paleontologist. He received his PhD from Harvard University, and was curator of fossil insects at the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology for 60 years. Entomologists David Grimaldi and Michael S. Engel consider him "the most influential paleoentomologist of his generation" (Grimaldi and Engel 2005 p. 143).
