Small quarto, 10 x 8 inches, handsomely bound by Bayntun of Bath in 3/4 tawny brown morocco, patterned boards, gilt spine, raised bands, excellent condition. 104 pp, the first printing, without additional epilogue, etc. Bookplate of Henley Evans Clifton, but research doesn't reveal much about him except that he was quite the bibliophile and that several antiquarian booksellers on both sides of the pond are offering older books on English literature or history with his bookplate.
