Contents in very bright condition: two minor soil marks noted in text, and front pastedown has a crossed-out library bookplate: closed split to front endpaper. Octavo, all edges gilt, in the original binding of russet cloth over bevelled boards, ornately titled and decorated in gilt, with border decoration in black. Bright and firm, spine ends puckered and fraying a little. Includes three pages on How to Preserve Eggs for the Cabinet, but also a page titled A Boy reproved by a Bird. This edition combines the first and second series, which were originally published in the 1850s. Very nice copy.

Sobre Chapel Books

I sell books from a large disused Chapel next to the village duck pond, where I have lived about 40 years: just inland from Dunwich and between Southwold and Aldeburgh. I open 7 days a week, 12-5.
