Black cloth boards with gold stamping and a multicolor illustration at front are slightly faded over spine and show only light edge wear. Pencil notation on rear endpaper. Gilt top edge of text block. Text appears clean and unmarked. Includes 24 tissue guarded photogravure illustrations and 32 half-tone engravings with appendix and index. No dust jacket.
