New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc., 1957. Book Club Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. The second book in the author's Robot series. A nice copy in yellow boards with red type to spine. Lower corners dinged and some wear to spine ends. Some black residue from vintage jacket protector that was used to tops and bottoms of boards and endpapers. Previous owner's address labels to pastedowns and ffep, and a strip of tanning to middles of free endpapers from aforementioned jacket protector. Small spot of rubbing to bottom of spine. Interior otherwise clean, though lightly tanned with solid binding. Jacket is whole with no tears or chips, but likewise as some black residue to top and bottom edges of panels, spine and flaps in spots. Tanned strip around middle of jacket from protector as well. Small pen mark with some scuffing and tanning to rear panel and some wrinkling to top of front panel that occured as jacket protector shrank/tightened. Presents quite nicely.
