A little shelf wear to the jacket. Illustrated with photographs. Signed by Mackenzie on title page and with gift dedication from Mackenzie dated 1969 on front free end paper. This is the eighth volume of MacKenzie’s autobiography which includes the Second World War when he commanded the home guard on Barra, ship wrecks, whisky galore and meetings with Eric Linklater, P G Wodehouse and Churchill. Also writing some of his best loved works such as Whisky Galore and the Monarch of the Glen. First edition. I have other volumes of Mackenzie’s autobiography available, in matching bindings and generally in very good plus condition and signed.
