Sobre este item
New York: Doubleday and Co, 1952. Stated First Edition. Hardcover in pale yellow cloth. Good/Good. A true survivor - first edition copy. Book is good with wear, staining and rubbing to the edges, a slight cock, and toning of the textblock.
Dust jacket is worn but complete. It is toned and chipped at the tail. Shelf-wear evident at the tail. DJ was formerly taped and there is tape residue and damage to the front and rear pastedowns.
A good collectable first edition, readable as well.

i was looking for Ms DuMaurier's books in a rare fit of nostalgia...i purchased this one---JAMAICA INN---and FRENCHMAN'S CREEK---a rather BigThree from my pre-teen years...as far as the writing goes/went...this book is highbrow Gothic...mannered i style nowadays but boy howdy Daphne can conjure up a few chills...i am not big on Romance Novels but this one plus the other two will give an idea of what real Writing is...in a non-highbrow genre....word up, y'all!!!

Sobre Librariana Fine Books
We believe that a library is much more than a room or a space. A library is a place to work, rest, love, think and dream. It is the heart of the home.
Our mission is to help individuals, families and organizations furnish their bookspaces in a way that reflects their personality and values.
Beginning with fine books, and extending to other "librariana" - art, antiques and collectibles that make a space a library. We also repair books, and consult with home owners, organizations and bookstore owners looking to make their bookspaces into purposeful sanctuaries.
Whether your bookspace is a corner shelf in a bedroom, or a grand corporate space for meetings and work, Librariana can help "improve your library".
