Jacket shows some wear and small chips to edges. Price written, in ink, to upper front flap. Gilt and black lettering debossed to spine of peacock-blue cloth-covered boards. Author's initials debossed in gilt to front. Clean, tight, bright. 232 pp. Translated from the Portuguese by Barbara Shelby. "Hints of biography, not of one individual but of several individuals in the imaginary person of an ideal sociological type. There are snatches of history, too...", (front flap).
