Sobre este item
London: Printed for James Knapton, 1693. First edition. Hardcover. Modern green cloth, back strip lettered in gilt. Very good. 144 pages. 16.5 x 12 cm. Complete with half title, and with imprimatur on verso of half-title. In 1711 he began disputes with Pope and Addison. Samuel Johnson noted Pope as the dispute instigator. DNB p.528. "he showed real abilities and Southey justly observed that Dennis's critical pamphlets deserve republication." WING D1034. Slight toning throughout.
