Sobre este item
San Francisco, California, U.S.A.: McSweeneys Books, 2007. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. As New/No Jacket. One side of this book is a section entitled "Come Back, Donald Barthelme," which consists of an all-star author symposium (consisting of original short essays written for this issue) and "two of Barthelme's uncollected stories, out of print for more than three decades, reproduced for the first time here," those being: "The Bed" and "Pages from the Annual Report." On the flip side are unrelated, original entries by Christopher R. Howard ("How to Make Millions in the Stock Market), Joe Meno ("Stockholm, 1973"), Jonathan Ames ("Bored to Death"), Aaron Gwyn ("Look at Me"), Philippe Soupalt ("Death of Nick Carter"), and Eric Hanson ("The Last Adventure of the Blue Phantom"). Also, mounted inside the book on this side is a handsome preview chapbook of "Bowl of Cherries" by Millard Kaufman. Very fine copy of this unique, double-sided hardcover issue of MCSWEENEY'S in pictorial endpapers and indigo blue cloth boards with gold-stamped title, as issued, without dust jacket. L151

We specialize in collectible, contemporary signed first editions. First edition means the first printing. (Later printings of the first edition are typically not printed on acid-free paper, and should be avoided by collectors.) Signatures are obtained by us in person. Inscribed books sold by us may contain a line, a phrase, or a sketch that the author has chosen to add. Our signed books are not dedicated to anybody in particular (not to your grandmother, your Aunt Gladys, your ex-lover or your former cellmate), except in the rare case of a presentation copy from an author to a noteworthy person. All our books are hardcover, unless the book is an Advance Reading Copy, Uncorrected Proof, or PBO. You can expect that the books we send you will be as described, and in a physical condition worthy of the author’s having signed them. We do not sell remainder-marked books, signed or otherwise
