William Heinemann Ltd., 1902. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1902. No Edition Remarks. 426 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Rough-cut pages. Black and white illustrations throughout. Moderate foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters and hinges, exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with noticeable staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

Sinopse

Mauprat is a novel by the French novelist George Sand about love and education. It was published in serial form in April and May 1837. Like many of Sand's novels, Mauprat borrows from various fictional genres- the Gothic novel, chivalric romance, the Bildungsroman, detective fiction, and the historical novel.
