Printed and handwritten with 2 Internal Revenue stamps. Margaret J. Darcy mortgages for $124 lot #323 on the west side of Water St. and south side of Broad St., in Newburgh, N.Y. Signed by Margaret J. Darcy and Edward Darcy, and by the Orange County notary public, Jno. C. Noe. Homer Ramsdell, George W. Townsend, and James A. Townsend were successful wholesale grocers in Newburgh from 1858 to 1876. The clerk has written "Darcey" but they sign their name "Darcy." In Near Fine Condition: one horizontal fold and two vertical folds; clean and bright.
