DJ has shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (DJ is chipped and worn at the spine ends). Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. News reporter/photographer Barney Gantt solves murder and uncovers intrigue in pre war New York. This is a combination spy and mystery novel, the sort that was popular during World War II. Its villains are members of Big Oil, and features a long historical look back to events in the 1930's, as well as the book's "present" of 1941. E-298; 7.9 X 5.6 X 1.0 inches; 5 pages .
