In 1908, Isadora Duncan introduced Gordon Craig to Konstantin Stanislavski, founder of the Moscow Art Theatre, who invited him to co-direct their famous production of Hamlet, which opened in December 1911. Soon after, Craig settled in Italy, where he created a school of theater design with support from Lord Howard de Walden, the Arena Goldoni in Florence. N. B.
