Postcard laid in from John [Martin] publisher of Black Sparrow Press to Lee [Hendrix] typed: March 3, 1996, Dear Lee,? This is the best I can do! A "one copy of one" edition (see colophon page in back). Thanks for your interest and support down through the years! Colophon page: written in red ink "Lee's copy 1/1, JM" with pastedown signed plate of Charles Bukowski. BUK has passed away a year earlier, but he often would spend time in the Either/Or where Lee was the co-owner along with Richard Roland. She often would proofread the BUK copies and was a great supporter in their shop which had many of the "little magazines" and small editions of offbeat poetry. A fine copy bound in 1/4 red cloth over colorful pictorial paper covered bords, lettering red and black, paper spine label lettered in red and black, in its original acetate dust jacket.
