Sobre este item

New York, NY The Modern Library, 1932. Hardcover First Edition Thus (1932), so stated. First Edition Thus (1932), so stated. Good+: Shows moderate wear to the extremities, but with heavy rubbing to the corner tips, exposing the board and another spot at the lower outside edge of the front panel which shows a tear in the fabric exposing a small spot of the underlying board; mild rubbing to the panels and backstrip, which shows some sunning (the titles thereon remain legible and the gilt is still discernible, but the titles are no longer as bright as when new); former owner's name and address at the front free endpaper; the expected light tanning to the text pages due to aging; the binding remains square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A good solid copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing considerable wear and some cosmetic flaws. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.25 x 5.65 x 1.8 inches). Translated by John Dryden and revised by Arthur Hugh Clough. Language: English. Weight: 37.5 ounces. Blue-Grey cloth over boards with gilt titles at the backstrip and gilt "Modern Library" logo at the front panel. Hardback: Lacks DJ.
