This is a Good Copy of this book in half brown calf over light coloured tan cloth boards.Gilt title lettering to the 2nd and 3rd compartments along spine.Five raised bands to spine.Marbled designed endpapers.The book is complete with a total of 40 plates by Phiz with coloured frontispiece,all other plates are in black and white and mostly with captioned tissue guards.There is some sporadic foxing to the book throughout.Plates remain clean clean.There is some rippling and wear to cloth predominantly on the rear cover that will have been repaired at some stage.The book sits handsomely on the shelf with gilt lettering sharp and clean.The binding remains firm with no hinge weakness.A decent copy of a collectable Dickens' title 8vo (xiv) 713pp Reprint [1905] This title was acquired from an impressive and varied private collection of Richard Holt a Former Barrister and Lay Preacher from Newton in Bowland Lancashire 12/6/23 One neat Inscription present to the blank front endpaper . Good. Hardcover. Reprint. 1905.
