First printing includes a typed letter by Cutright signed simply Paul that thanks the recipient for there letter of sympathy and more, near fine cloth hardcover shows touch of soil and stain at bottom page edges and hint of toning at endpapers, in a very good + dust jacket that shows just a touch of rubbing and soil along with very light edgewear. 506 pages with A, B & C appendices, index, bibliography and set of black & whites. Still a good looking copy of this work from the Lewis & Clark scholar that tells of the noted expedition from the naturalist's point of view. Signed letter.
