Scarce in all early editions.Arranged in a series of eleven letters from Bailey, dated between 1919 and 1920, published 'in full as received'.These letters concern matters including the importance of meditation, 'dangers to avoid in meditation', 'access to the masters via meditation', and 'the use of the sacred word in meditation'.The work of Alice Ann Bailey, a writer of more than twenty-four books on theosophical subjects remembered as one of the first writers to use the term 'New Age'.With the former owner's inscription of R. T. Knight of Hampstead to the front free endpaper.With an index to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Boards bright, with rubbing to back strip head and tail and joints. Hinges strained, but firmly held. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, binding lightly strained. Pages bright and generally clean, with only the odd handling mark. Very Good
