Jacques Faublee (1912-2003) became an assistant curator at the Musee du Trocadero and spent the years from 1938 to 1941 in the field researching the Bara of Madagascar. R. Falck was responsible for the fine and detailed line drawings of the ethnographic objects as well as the wrapper design. In an orange half morocco with marbled endpapers and top edge gilt, by Sangorski and Sutcliffe of London. A very nice copy of the first edition.
