NY: St. Martins, 1984. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good-/Good+. Stated first edition, full number line, jacket price at $11.95. A word of caution here. I am by no means an expert at this writer or mystery genre books generally, but, I noticed an oddness in looking at several MM titles done by St. Martins and Mysterious Press. IE an identical (each time it appears) signature in long hand appears below her typeset name on each books title page. I feel sure this 'signature' is a printed affair, not an actual signature at all. . . I may be wrong, but the shop I was in had them as signed copies and I do not think this was correct. Since there seen to be many copies showing the same 'signature' (on the title page) listed electronically I find them suspicious. I have kept the price of this item higher than it should be because I do not wish to sell it and then need to repeat this explanation. Again, there may be actual title page signatures by Muller but none of the ones I've seen are real. ---- Clean, solid unmarked hardcover. Good trace of cocking (spine slant) though not awful. Jacket has front panel ripple from h2o droplet (hard to see) and 1/2" tear back panel, some edge wear. In new mylar wrapper. * We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. We assure the buyer that books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, using the strict, traditional standards.*
