The story of women's suffrage in the United States--from the five women who met in Senaca Fall, NY in 1848 until the passage of the 19th Amendment in 1920. This book is beautifully bound in a full dark green leather binding with 22 kt gold spine and cover decorations. The spine has four raised bands with five decorated compartments and there is also a silk ribbon bookmark. Printed on acid-free paper and the book is smyth-sewn, not glued. Contains an index, bibliography and a chronology in the rear. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. It would make a wonderful addition to any library, and could also be presented to a special person as a gift. ; Leather-Bound Library of American History Series; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 328 pages .
