Sobre este item

Nygaarart Ltd., dist. Pace University Press, 1986. First. Hardcover. Fine in dj; inscribed by Nygaard. 4to, cloth. 192 pp, 123 illustrations (1 in color) plus color frontispiece portrait. The Norwegian-born Nygaard (1903-1989) was a practicing surgeon in the United States from 1929. The first part of his career (1931-37) was spent at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, and after a three-year return to Norway, from 1940 to 1979 at White Plains Hospital in Westchester County, NY. In his parallel career as a sculptor, which began around 1950, he created works of a Rodin-like eternal nature. Among the more than 40 pieces illustrated are portraits of Marcel Duchamp and Percy Grainger, both of whom were his patients, as well as Auguste Rodin and Edvard Munch, who were not. 8690671

For overseas customers (including Canada): ALL my international shipments must go by Priority or regular airmail. Please be advised that "Standard" overseas delivery applies ONLY to items weighing less the four pounds (1.8kg) and which can be shipped in a flat-rate Priority airmail ENVELOPE. The "Expedited" rate applies to items which can be shipped in a flat-rate BOX. In general, exhibition catalogs and small books can be shipped in the flat-rate envelope. Most larger items will require the flat-rate box. There will be no extra charge for multiple items that can all fit in one envelope or box. If, owing to lighter weight, an item or items can be shipped by standard air mail and the actual cost is less, I will reduce the charge. (I do not run my shipping department as a profit center.) But if the order will not fit into a single fixed-rate envelope or box the actual charge may be higher, in which case I will contact you before proceeding with shipment.
