Originally published in 1966, this version adds diary selections up to the author's suicide in 1977 and has a new introduction by Alan Ross. Large 8vo in blue faux cloth, gilt lettering to spine. 217pp, illustrations in text, index. This copy is one of a few copies which belonged to Peter Meyer (author, translator and art collector) whose bookplate, a lino-cut specially done by Keith Vaughan, is on the front paste-down end-paper.
