Sobre este item

New York: Stephen Daye Press, (1946).. (1946).. Very good. - Octavo, cloth, in a dust wrapper. The binding is very slightly bumped. There are a few light stains to the front cover & its top edge is rubbed at the top corner. The dust jacket is lightly soiled & chipped & a bit darkened with some small stains. 300 pages. There is light foxing to the pastedowns, endpapers & half-title & the page edges are slightly darkened. Very good in a good dust wrapper.
First edition.
Josiah White was a Quaker and a pioneer industrialist who worked tirelessly to exploit the rivers and mines of Pennsylvania and to improve commerce and transportation.
