Reproductions of a series of drawings and lithographs of the munition works made by him with the permission and authority of the British government with notes by the artist and with an introduction by H.G. Wells Joseph Pennell (1857 - 1926) was an illustrator, etcher and lithographer. 8vo size brown clothbound hardcover with tipped in illustrated front cover; unpaginated - full page black and which engravings with descriptive text on reverse. Bumped and worn head and heel of spine and corners and some light soil to the tipped in illustration on front cover. Front pastedown is cracked and half title page has fingermarks. We noted several pages with small spots or foxing or fingermarks and there is a pencilled notation inside back cover. . Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
