Denver: Old West Publishing Co.. Fine. 1962. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Lacks plain glassine jacket. ; 1000 copies printed by Alfred & Lawton Kennedy. Tan cloth lettered in black with front cover illustration; frontis; two folding maps; 5 illustrations. Inscribed by Charles Camp "To my very good friends - Paul and Wilma Ogden, from Charles Camp, San Jose, June 5, 1973; In memory of very many pleasant visits, travels and good conversation." Prospectus laid in. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 304 pages; The typed carbon copy appears to be from Camp, and is entitled: "Copy (A) to be inserted on page vi. ", regarding Doble's manuscript being obtained by Mr. Rosenstock from William C. Smith, bookseller in Cincinnati, and the internal clues that allowed the authorship to be discovered. He also mentions having met the younger Abner Doble, inventor of the Doble steam automobile in Berkeley, and connections with the Doble family that provided material for the book. This preface was not included in the book, but some similar information, omitting the mention of the Abners younger and elder, and their connections, is provided in the publisher's introduction by Rosenstock. ; Signed by Editor .
