Saddle stapled printed wraps. Front wrapper contains advertising for The C. E. Osgood Co. Of Boston, "New England's Largest Housefurnishers", and many other advertisements for regional and national businesses throughout the text. This cookbook was issued as a fundraiser for the Hyannis Public Library Association on Massachusetts' Cape Cod in 1895 in an edition of 500 copies. The preface notes that this entire edition sold out quickly, so the Ladies of the Association put out the call for more recipes and more advertisers, resulting in this second enlarged and improved edition. The title page denotes that the cost was 25 cents. A centennial edition was published in 1995 by the Friends of the Hyannis Public Library. An important regional cookbook published during the post-Civil War explosion of fundraiser and community cookbooks.
