Philadelphia: J.B. Lippincott, 1951. This Stated First Edition (and unless it's stated, it's not) is in Very Good+ condition with a Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket. This historical adventure novel deals with frontier Army life in an American Southwestern fort during the time of Andrew Jackson. The book is bound in turquoise cloth, with reverse gilt spine lettering. The spine tips are lightly rubbed. The book is clean, tightly bound, and the pages are bright. Several pages were roughly cut by the previous owner. The dust jacket has some tiny chipping at the spine bottom and light soiling on the rear panel. The book measures 5 3/4 by 8 1/4 inches and includes 286 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
