Sobre este item
This book has been read, no wear to covers, very minor wear to dust jacket. No markings inner pages, minor staining on edge of pages. Spine intact, no creases.
"In this medieval ecclesiastical thriller set in early 14th-century Europe, Burman tells of the struggle between Philip the Fair, King of France, and the Catholic Church to obtain a mysterious but potent relic belonging to the Order of the Knights Templar. The relic could sway the balance of power in a struggle for control of the church. Burman has woven an interesting and suspenseful tale based upon his speculation on the provenance of a prominent medieval relic. Characterization is not always consistent, and the early chapters suffer from some muddled plotting, but when the tale picks up speed, there's entertaining reading." Dean James Library Journal
"Edward Burman grew up in Cambridge and studied Philosophy and Fine Art at the University of Leeds in the UK. He lived in Rome for three years, where he studied art, learnt Italian, and wrote articles for the local English-language newspaper. He then lived in Tehran, where he worked as an editor and became fascinated by the country's history and literature. Back in Italy, Burman wrote various books on occult subjects and Italian culture and taught in the universities of L'Aquila and Bologna." Bloomsbury

Sobre Ohkwaho Books and Fine Art
Welcome to Ohkwaho Books and Fine Art. We are a small family-run, independent book-seller looking to share our passion for the written word with the world. We specialize in historical fiction, non-fiction and children's fiction. Above all we value integrity and transparency and are looking for ways to connect with other bibliophiles. Our resident artist is a proudly Metis youth, working to regain connection with his Metis heritage, and much of his passion for social justice and reconciliation may be envisioned within his art. We offer a wide variety of books for sale, both gently used and new. We are also very thrilled to announce availability of a limited number of prints and original artwork by Baz. In addition, we are always happy to connect with you to discuss commissions and other types of requests. Please reach out and let us know how best we can work with you! We look forward to hearing from you.
