Original black cloth binding with gilt titles on the front and spine and a gilt decoration on the spine. Bevelled edges, one or two blemishes but very neat and robust. Hinge and text block tight, pencilled inscription to front end paper. Pages smooth clean and bright, no foxing, with illustrations and some photographic images, a lovely copy.
