Elements of classic Arthurian canon are reimagined in Phyllis Ann Karr's The Idylls of the Queen, which sees King Arthur's wisecracking seneschal Sir Kay investigating a murder at Camelot that directly implicates Queen Guenevere. Originally published by Ace Books in 1982, this paperback is the 1985 Berkley re-edition.
