Sobre este item

Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1965. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. Edited by R. Lincoln Keiser, with a commentary by Paul Bohannan. Anticipating and informing the popular blaxploitation films of the early 1970s, this account of a Chicago gang's troubleshooter describes in detail the various techniques of hustling, while also depicting the harsh realities of the inner city and the difficult decisions many African American faced. Williamson's story was recorded by his South Side caseworker in between prison sentences. Octavo. Original blue cloth binding, with teal and gilt titles. Some mild edgewear to the dust jacket; otherwise very good.
