The volume comprises four of Hodgson's novels, none of which had previously been published in the US in book form: The House on the Borderland, The Boats of the "Glen Carrig", The Ghost Pirates, and The Night Land. Hodgson is considered "one of the most important formative influences in modern tales of supernatural horror" (Bleiler). Octavo. Original black cloth, title and decoration to spine gilt. With dust jacket designed by Hannes Bok. An excellent, bright copy in the jacket with a little rubbing and a couple of nicks to extremities. Bleiler, Supernatural Fiction 815.
