New York: Pantheon Books (Random House), 1966. Cloth. Near Fine/Near Fine. A crisp, very sharp copy of the 1966 stated 1st American printing. Clean and Near Fine in a bright, price-intact ($6.95), Near Fine dustjacket, with just a bit of very light chipping along the spine crown. Internally all-but-pristine, with no writing or markings of any kind. Translated by Gregory Rabassa (of "One Hundred Years of Solitude" fame), jacket design by the redoubtable George Salter.
Sinopse
JULIO CORTAZAR was born in 1914 in Belgium to Argentinean parents, grew up in Buenos Aires, and moved to Paris in 1951. An acclaimed and influential novelist, short-story writer, poet, playwright, and essayist, he was also a human rights advocate and amateur jazz musician. He died in Paris in 1984.
