"The Acquisition, Restoration and Care of the Home of Washington by the Mount Vernon Ladies' Associatin of the Union for over half a Century." In an age where the government undertakes most projects of this nature, it is to their credit that these women became the guardians of our first President's home and grounds. Contains a frontis illustration of Mount Vernon and two portraits. There is a previous owner inscription, else a nice clean tight and unmarked book in the original red cloth binding with gilt spne and cover lettering a decoration. The spine lettering is dull, but still legible.; Frontis Illustration, portraits; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 84 pages .
