Hardcover Very Good: all volumes show moderate wear to the extremites and moderate rubbing; Volume One shows heavy spotting at the front panel; Volume Three shows water damage at the rear panel, but this has not disturbed the text or otherwise marred the rear board; a little faint foxing at the ourside edges. All volumes show former owner's tasteful bookplate at front paste-down end paper. Volume One shows slight spine lean; the other volumes' bindings are square; all are remarkably secure. Texts are clean. Despite noted flaws, remains clean, sturdy, and quite presentable. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 3165pp. in Five Volumes. Brown cloth over boards. Gilt titles at backstrip. Volume One lithograph frontis. Hardback: No DJ 'as issued'.
