Scarlet cloth with gilt titles to upper board and fillets and scrolled decoration in blind to boards. Primrose yellow endpapers. Spine lightly sunned and rubbed with wear to tips; boards a little creased with bruised corners Bold ownership inscription in red ink to ffep; single leaf corner creased otherwise contents clean and crisp. A Very Good copy. Scarce regimental history in the Historical Records of the British Army series, from formation as one of the three English units in the Dutch Anglo-Scots Brigade, evolving into the Fifth Regiment of Foot in 1782. Copac locates just 3 copies at British holdings.
